Manual and Automatic Inventory Settings
The platform's default setting is set to manual inventory. If you're ready to convert to automatic inventory, follow these instructions:
Go to your inventory settings by clicking on your avatar, then click on the gear icon for settings , then click on "profile."
If you disable manual Inventory, your inventory will be automatic you will need to set your end of day settings. To learn more about how to set up Automatic Inventory, please follow our guide.
Your end of day settings are set to the time your business closes and you are no longer processing transactions.
Adding Items to Inventory
You can now add items to inventory from a catalog by selecting items in your catalog, clicking on More in the top right and then clicking track in inventory. You can now “set published” or “set favorite” for bulk as well as delete products in bulk and per product.
Adding Preparations to Your Inventory
After creating preparations in the menu section, you can now add them to your inventory. This will allow you to count your preparations in addition to your raw materials. When you are in inventory, click “add item” and type preparation title.
Creating Master Products
Now you can group items that you purchase from different suppliers or in different sizes into one Master Product. For example, if you buy potatoes from many different suppliers, you can bundle all of those potatoes into one grouping, therefore you don’t have to track the potatoes from each supplier separately, you can track all potatoes coming in and out of your restaurant as a whole. To create a Master Product, simply click the three button icon on the left of the item. There you can create a new Master Product or add a product to an existing Master Product.
Deleting Items From Inventory in Bulk
If you want to delete an item from your inventory, select the item by checking the box next to the item, go to “more actions” and click delete. On the new SimpleOrder you can now delete products in bulk.
Pars and Warnings
You can now set a par and a warning on your inventory sheet which will alert you once you reach your warning level.
Counting Your Master Products
When you are in counting lists you can count master products, to do so, click the “item” button, a pop up window will open displaying each product. You can choose to count by brand, container or cases.
Brand: Counting individual items
Container: Counting by unit. For example how many 2L bottles of milk, how many 1L bottle of milk.
Cases: Counting by package and/or units. For example, how many 2L bottle of milk in a case of 3
Count History (only in latest version of inventory)
In your inventory, by going to “Counts” you will directed to your count history. Here, you can see a full report of all of your inventory counts. Once you click on a specific date, you will see an actual count for that date and receive a report that will show you the variance between your physical and theoretical counts. This report will immediately indicate any wastage or leakage and will illustrate whether your margins are correct.
Once you are in count history, you can get a detailed overview of your counts. To expand your count history data, click "Show Theoretical Data," where you will see "sales," "purchases," "variance," and "waste."
By going to inventory on the left hand panel, clicking "count" then selecting a specific count, you can edit that count by clicking "edit" on the top right corner. Here you can edit count quantities and you can edit the date.
